# About Page Crafter

## Overview

About Page Crafter is a prompt-flow skill that writes warm, credible "About" pages for personal websites, portfolios, and professional landing pages. It follows proven About-page UX patterns — hook, credibility bridge, philosophy, social proof, personal connection, CTA — and adapts output for freelancers, consultants, creators, and small businesses.

This skill is for anyone who needs a personal or professional About page that converts visitors into connections, clients, or subscribers.

## When to Use

Use this skill when the user asks to:

- Write an About page for a personal website
- Create a portfolio site introduction
- Draft a consultancy "Why me" page
- Build a creator "Start here" page
- Write a service business team page introduction

## Workflow

### Step 1 — Information Gathering

Collect from the user:
- Who they are (name, role, identity)
- What they do (services, products, content)
- Who they serve (target audience, ideal client)
- Their approach/philosophy (what makes them different)
- Credentials and experience (proof of capability)
- Personal touches (hobbies, values, backstory)
- Desired tone (warm, professional, bold, understated)
- The primary action they want visitors to take

### Step 2 — Hook Opening

Craft an opening that immediately answers "Am I in the right place?" Options:
- Direct statement: "I help [audience] achieve [outcome]."
- Empathy-led: "You know that feeling when [pain point]? I help fix that."
- Story hook: A brief, relatable moment that illustrates the problem they solve.

### Step 3 — Credibility Bridge

Build trust by establishing why the visitor should listen:
- Relevant experience and credentials
- Results achieved for clients/customers
- Unique methodology or approach
- Publications, features, or recognition

### Step 4 — Philosophy / Approach

Explain *how* they work and *why* they work that way. This is the differentiation section — what makes them different from competitors.

### Step 5 — Social Proof Snippet

Weave in a brief testimonial, client logo mention, or metric that validates claims. Keep it concise — one or two sentences.

### Step 6 — Personal Connection

Add a human element — a personal value, hobby, or backstory detail that makes the page feel like a person wrote it.

### Step 7 — Call to Action

Close with a clear, specific CTA: what should the visitor do next? (Contact, subscribe, view portfolio, book a call.)
